The Oregon Community Foundation was established in 1973 and its mission is to improve lives for all Oregonians through the power of philanthropy. OCF works with individuals, families, businesses and organizations to create charitable funds to support the community causes they care about. Through these funds, OCF awards more than $55 million annually in grants and scholarships. According to the Foundation Center, it is the eighth largest community foundation in the United States as ranked by asset size in U.S. dollars as of 2014.
Priorities
Closing the opportunity gap. OCF funds programs that support parents and families and provide opportunities for children to learn and thrive, particularly low-income children, children of color and rural children.
Strengthening communities. OCF funds programs that increase participation and leadership in communities, enhance arts and culture, and promote a healthy environment and economy.
Inspiring giving. OCF works with donors to create legacies to support the causes about which they are passionate.
