As of May 2017, there are sixty-five former members of the U.S. House of Representatives from the U.S. State of New York that are currently living. The most recent representative to die was William Carney (1979-1987) on May 23, 2017. The most recently serving representative to die was Major R. Owens (1983-2007) on October 21, 2013.
