The Cupertino Union School District (CUSD) is a K-8 school district that covers the city of Cupertino, California, and parts of San Jose, Sunnyvale, Saratoga, Santa Clara, and Los Altos, California. The CUSD operates twenty elementary schools (K-5) and five middle schools (6-8). The CUSD has over 850 teachers (full-time equivalents) serving more than 18,000 students. Cupertino Union is a feeder for the Fremont Union High School District. It features an ELD (English Language Development) Program that helps new immigrants to learn and adjust to the American culture.
